Recap: Hesston Swathers vs. Buhler Crusaders

In what's become a running theme this season, the Hesston Swathers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Buhler 59-35. Given Hesston's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Buhler is ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Adrian Hernandez, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Reed Friesen, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.

The victory makes it two in a row for Hesston and bumps their season record up to 12-2. As for Buhler, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hesston's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hoisington at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Hoisington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Tuesday. As for Buhler, they will head out on the road to challenge Rose Hill on Tuesday.
