Soccer Recap: Fulshear Takes a Loss

Fulshear was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Langham Creek Lobos who were credited with the win. The Langham Creek Lobos got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Fulshear Chargers' two. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Lobos are ranked 114th).

Siena Muskivitch wasn't going to let Langham Creek walk away unscathed as she scored both of Fulshear's goals, bringing her season total up to three goals.

Fulshear's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Langham Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fulshear will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alief Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for Langham Creek, they will face off against Bridgeland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Langham Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.
