Softball Recap: Beverly Extends Winning Streak to Five

Beverly proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Danvers Falcons 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since April 10th.

The win (which was Beverly's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Danvers, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beverly will face off against Lexington at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Danvers, they will challenge Lowell Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
