Lake City is a perfect 10-0 against Sandpoint since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lake City Timberwolves will take on the Sandpoint Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Lake City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Sandpoint likes a good challenge.

Lake City is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Bonners Ferry, who was ranked fourth at the time (Lake City was ranked second). Lake City snuck past Bonners Ferry with a 70-65 victory on Monday.

Meanwhile, Sandpoint lost to Coeur d'Alene at home by a 60-44 margin on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost seven in a row.

Lake City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Sandpoint, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Lake City took their win against Sandpoint when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 75-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
