Riverdale is 0-10 against Rockridge since April of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Rams will square off against the Rockets at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Riverdale barely beat Princeton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Tigers on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.
Brie DeBlaey spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Peterson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Claire Beeler was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Riverdale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Princeton only managed seven hits.
Meanwhile, Rockridge came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Boilermakers with a sharp 12-2 win.
Rockridge also let their pitcher toss all six innings played and she was also dialed-in: Tatum Lowe gave up two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits.
At the plate, Emilee Black was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Madelyn David, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
Riverdale pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rockridge, their record now sits at 14-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Riverdale hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.3 home runs per game. However, it's not like Rockridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Riverdale might still be hurting after the 11-2 defeat they got from Rockridge in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
