Baseball Recap: Fort Morgan Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Fort Morgan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against the Valley Vikings by a score of 10-5 on Saturday. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Fort Morgan pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Valley, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Fort Morgan will square off against Lamar at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley, they have already played their next game, a 12-2 loss against Vista PEAK Prep on the 22nd.
