King George had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the James Monroe Yellow Jackets a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Foxes, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

King George pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.
