Volleyball Recap: Lake Belton's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

It was a good run, but Lake Belton unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Weiss Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10, 26-28, 25-21.

Leading Weiss to victory were Ashley Go and Calah Williams. Go had 24 digs and six assists, while Williams had nine digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Williams a new career-high.

Lake Belton's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Weiss, their win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-6.

Looking ahead, Lake Belton will face off against Belton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Broncos' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Weiss, they are taking a road trip to take on Georgetown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
