Soccer Recap: Waller Comes Up Short

Waller was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cypress Springs Panthers. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.

Waller's record now sits at 2-11. As for Cypress Springs, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 1-7-1 record.

Waller will challenge Cypress Park at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Waller is facing Cypress Park at the right time seeing as Cypress Park is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Cypress Springs, they will square off against Cypress Lakes at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Cypress Springs' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
