Basketball Recap: Dominic Gale Key Part of a Team Effort in Crusaders Win

St. Joseph Academy's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They secured a 54-49 W over the Del Lago Academy Firebirds. For the Crusaders, this counts as revenge for the 65-53 win the Firebirds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

St. Joseph Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dominic Gale, who posted 18 points. That's the most points Gale has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Ahiafor, who earned 13 points.

St. Joseph Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Del Lago Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Academy will take on Army-Navy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
