Basketball Recap: Ida Crown Jewish Academy Has No Trouble Against Westmont

Ida Crown Jewish Academy lost to Westmont last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Ida Crown Jewish Academy Aces took down the Westmont Sentinels 62-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aces.

Westmont's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kallie Niemer, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Niemer a new career-high in points. Danielle Hoover was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Ida Crown Jewish Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Westmont, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 19-11.

Ida Crown Jewish Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westmont, they will take on EPIC Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. EPIC Academy's defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so Westmont's offense will have their work cut out for them.
