Baseball Recap: Drew Central Comes Up Short

If Drew Central was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Dumas last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Drew Central fell just short of the Fordyce Redbugs by a score of 7-6 on Monday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Redbugs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Drew Central's pitchers better be ready for this one: McGehee has averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Fordyce, they will take on Magnet Cove at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Magnet Cove has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.73 runs per game on average), something Fordyce will no doubt try to take advantage of.
