Oak Hill and Frankton are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Oak Hill Golden Eagles take on the Frankton Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oak Hill has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
Last Saturday, Oak Hill narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Maconaquah 70-68. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Eagles have posted against the Braves since December 14, 2019.

Oak Hill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jace Tonagel out in front who went 5 of 10 on his way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Tonagel's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of RJ Shugart, who posted 21 points.
Tonagel wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Oak Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maconaquah only racked up seven assists.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Frankton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took down Eastbrook 50-33 on Friday.
Frankton found their leader in sophomore Trey Bennett, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bennett has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joey Wright, who put up 11 points in addition to five assists and three steals.
Frankton's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Oak Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: Oak Hill has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 8 three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Frankton, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 three-pointers. Given Oak Hill's sizable advantage in that area, Frankton will need to find a way to close that gap.
