Basketball Recap: Browne Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Browne extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Karmello Walker. The Browne Bruins blew past the Kofa Kings 69-49 on Friday thanks in part to Walker, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times he's played.

Mark Mercado and Luis Negrete certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Mercado went 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points, while Negrete posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Ybarra, who had five points.

Browne's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-9. As for Kofa, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Browne will host Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Browne knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Skyline likes a good challenge. As for Kofa, they will head out to square off against Maryvale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
