Football Recap: Green Level Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Green Level had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took down the Athens Drive Jaguars 34-20 on Friday. For the Gators, this counts as revenge for the 24-6 win the Jaguars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2021.

Luke Pagan had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 149 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Those 149 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another big playmaker for Green Level was Derek Monroe, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Athens Drive's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyrese Madry, who rushed for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Jamari Tuck also helped out as he racked up 118 rushing yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Level will host Broughton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Athens Drive, they will be playing at home against Cary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
