Baseball Recap: Westmoreland Comes Up Short

Westmoreland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-3 to the Rappahannock Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 15-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Westmoreland's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Rappahannock, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

While Westmoreland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
