Basketball Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale lost against Darlington back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Riverdale Chieftains were dealt an 80-49 defeat at the hands of the Darlington Redbirds. While losing is never fun, the Chieftains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Redbirds are ranked 69th).

Riverdale has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season. The victory was the sixth in a row for Darlington, bringing their record for this year to 19-5.

As of now, neither Riverdale nor Darlington have any future games scheduled.
