Basketball Recap: West Bend East Takes a Loss

West Bend East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes and fell 81-34. While losing is never fun, the Suns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Blue Dukes are ranked 140th).

West Bend East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Whitefish Bay, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9.

Looking ahead, West Bend East will take on Nicolet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitefish Bay, they will host Slinger at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Slinger knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Whitefish Bay likes a good challenge.
