Basketball Recap: Streamwood Comes Up Short

Streamwood lost against St. Charles North back in January of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Streamwood Sabres took a blow against the St. Charles North North Stars, falling 81-52. The Sabres have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Streamwood's loss came despite strong showings from Payton Clements and Jaelin Tate. Clements went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points and five boards, while Tate posted 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Tate a new career-high in rebounds (four). Byron Walton was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Streamwood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for St. Charles North, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14.

Streamwood has already played their next game, a 69-63 loss against Grayslake North on the 22nd. As for St. Charles North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-54 defeat against Wheaton North on the 24th.
