On WednesdaySam Houston kept up with Jefferson until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Jefferson Mustangs never let the Sam Houston Hurricanes onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now won six in a row.

Fabian Hernandez and Kristian Colony scored all three of Jefferson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Sam Houston, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, Jefferson will head out to take on Fox Tech at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Sam Houston, they will square off against Seguin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sam Houston is facing Seguin at the right time seeing as Seguin is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
