Softball Recap: Reed Has No Trouble Against Galena

Reed was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Galena on Saturday. Everything went the Reed Raiders' way against the Galena Grizzlies as the Reed Raiders made off with a 17-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Breanna Staats, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Kehaulani Tambaoan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Reed always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Reed back to even at 2-2. As for Galena, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Reed will have a chance to go back-to-back against Galena: the pair will be back at it again later today.
