Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln). They blew past the Leon Lions 59-7 on the road on Monday. Considering the Trojans have won four matchups by more than 21 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Christian Sims Jr., who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Those 96 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Mekhi Maddox was in the mix as well, providing Lincoln with two touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lincoln's defense and their four sacks. Quinn Gray Jr was especially locked on to Leon's QB and sacked him twice.

The victory for Lincoln keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. As for Leon, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-21 defeat against Gadsden County on the 4th. Leon has also already played their next match, a 35-7 loss against Cairo on the 4th.
