Standley Lake hasn't had much luck against Green Mountain recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Standley Lake Gators will take on the Green Mountain Rams at 7:00 p.m. Standley Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.
On Wednesday, Standley Lake needed a bit of extra time to put away Wheat Ridge. They came out on top against the Farmers by a score of 72-61. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Carson Dowis was nothing short of spectacular: he went 10 for 13 en route to 23 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Asher Serlen was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Standley Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Green Mountain entered their tilt with Mountain Range on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 77-68 victory over the Mustangs.
Green Mountain's win came from a few key players Standley Lake will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Simon Lunsford, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 18 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Jake Swanson, who went 7 for 12 en route to 16 points.
Green Mountain's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.1 points per game. As for Standley Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Standley Lake has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 22.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Green Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
