Basketball Recap: Fort Thomas Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Fort Thomas came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Rock Point Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-40 victory. The Apaches have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Fort Thomas got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Michael Olivar out in front who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points. Channing Wilson was another key player, going 6 for 10 en route to 15 points and five boards.

Fort Thomas was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rock Point only posted nine assists.

Despite the loss, Rock Point still got an impressive performance from Ryer James, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. James has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Shiloh Chee, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points.
