Softball Preview: Huss Huskies vs. Kings Mountain Mountaineers

Huss is 0-10 against Kings Mountain since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Huss Huskies will stay at home for another game and welcome the Kings Mountain Mountaineers at 5:00 p.m.

Huss' hitters might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Forestview on Friday. They lost 16-0 to the Jaguars.

Meanwhile, Kings Mountain put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They beat South Point by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-0. Madeline Huffman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. In other batting news, Kings Mountain got a massive performance out of Kayla McSwain, who went 3-for-3 with five RBI, a triple, and a run. Another player making a difference was Desiree Green, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Huss' loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Kings Mountain, they pushed their record up to 16-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
