There's no place like home for Fuquay - Varina, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They slipped by the Cleveland Rams 37-36 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bengals: when they faced off against the Rams back in December of 2024, they had to take a 49-44 defeat.

Fuquay - Varina was led to victory by Abigail Meaney and Taylor Edwards. Meaney posted 11 points in addition to seven steals and six boards, while Edwards earned 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Edwards a new career-high in steals (two). Another player making a difference was Hannah Grace Epp, who put up seven points and eight rebounds.

Martina Paz-Aquino and Angelia Dunn certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Paz-Aquino had eight points along with 19 boards and four blocks, while Dunn went 6 of 14 to rack up 16 points. Paz-Aquino has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

Fuquay - Varina's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 5-14. As for Cleveland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Fuquay - Varina has already played their next match, a 45-37 loss against Garner on the 4th. As for Cleveland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-29 win against Corinth Holders on the 31st.
