Football Game Preview: St. Peter's Eagles vs. Fordham Prep Rams

The St. Peter's Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Fordham Prep Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fordham Prep took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Peter's, who comes in off a win.

St. Peter's is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 20-7 victory over Chaminade last Saturday. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Flyers on their field since September 19, 2015.

The critical scores for St. Peter's came from Chase Navarro, Benjamin Terry, and Vincenzo Coppola.

Meanwhile, Fordham Prep took a blow against Monsignor Farrell on Friday, falling 42-14. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Lions are ranked fourth).

This is the second loss in a row for Fordham Prep and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for St. Peter's, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

St. Peter's skirted past Fordham Prep 20-18 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
