Football Recap: Mount Ayr Starts Season with Victory Against Shenandoah + How To Watch

Mount Ayr gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 26-14 victory over the Shenandoah Mustangs.

Despite the defeat, Shenandoah saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gabe Buttry rushed for 90 yards and a pair of TDs.

Looking ahead, Mount Ayr will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Raiders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Shenandoah, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarinda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
