Basketball Recap: Butler County Takes a Loss

Butler County was the 78-62 winner over Grayson County when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Butler County Bears fell 70-61 to the Grayson County Cougars on Friday.

Despite the loss, Butler County still got an impressive performance from Ty Price, who posted 25 points. The contest was Price's eighth in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trever Deweese, who put up eight points and nine rebounds.

Butler County's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Grayson County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-6.

Butler County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-57 defeat against Daviess County on the 5th. As for Grayson County, they will be taking part in a tournament against Owensboro Catholic at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Grayson County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
