Soccer Recap: Nederland Triumphs

Nederland kept a clean sheet against William Smith on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 1-0. That's two games straight that Nederland have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Laila Waldron, who's now up to three this season.

Nederland's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-2-2. As for William Smith, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

When Nederland and William Smith next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Panthers will try to stop Gilpin County's five-game winning streak when they meet at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, William Smith will challenge Loveland Classical and their three-game winning streak at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
