Chesterfield owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the North Central Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Rams.

Chesterfield's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-10-1. As for North Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Chesterfield will face off against Hartsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Rams will need to watch out since the Red Foxes have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests. As for North Central, they will challenge Buford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
