Basketball Recap: Antigo Takes a Loss

Antigo lost against Mosinee back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Antigo Red Robins took a blow against the Mosinee Indians, falling 80-40. The Red Robins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-24.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mosinee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Balgord, who en route to 22 points. Balgord is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last five games he's played. Treve Stoffel was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Antigo has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. Mosinee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antigo will square off against Tomahawk at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mosinee, they will welcome Lakeland at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mosinee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Lakeland likes a good challenge.
