Volleyball Game Preview: Escalon Cougars vs. Orestimba Warriors

The Escalon Cougars will head out to challenge the Orestimba Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Escalon is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Escalon came up short against Ripon on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Escalon took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Orestimba lost 3-0 to Ripon Christian on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-14.

Orestimba's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Escalon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Escalon beat Orestimba 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
