Soccer Recap: St. Stephens Comes Up Short

After soaring to nine goals the game before, St. Stephens was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the East Lincoln Mustangs. While losing is never fun, St. Stephens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 141st, while East Lincoln are ranked 27th).

St. Stephens' defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-3. As for East Lincoln, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mustangs beat St. Stephens by a score of 1-0 on Friday.
