Softball Recap: Hollister Tigers vs. Mt. Vernon Mountaineers

Hollister was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 18-0 walloping at the hands of the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hollister of the 16-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

For Mt. Vernon's part, Cheyenne Bieber made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
