College Prep & Leadership Academy extends home losing streak to ten

Recap: College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals vs. Piedmont Classical Bobcats

This season hasn't been kind to the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals, who are still winless after their 12th game. They took a serious blow against Piedmont Classical on Friday, falling 71-40. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for College Prep & Leadership Academy in their matchups with Piedmont Classical: they've now lost four in a row.

Ge'Kayla Goins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Piedmont Classical, scoring 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Goins has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tamia Carter, who scored 17 points.

College Prep & Leadership Academy's loss was their tenth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-12. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.2 points per game. As for Piedmont Classical, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. College Prep & Leadership Academy the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Asheboro Hybrid Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
