Baseball Recap: Bakersfield Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Bakersfield won the last time they faced Alton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Comets. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Bakersfield's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Alton, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.
