North Forney hadn't done well against Rockwall-Heath recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Falcons won by a set and slipped past the Hawks 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Hawks back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was North Forney who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-16, 28-30, 25-18, 19-25, 15-6.

North Forney's victory bumped their record up to 25-11. As for Rockwall-Heath, their defeat ended a seven-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North Forney is set to take on their familiar foe Longview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rockwall-Heath will face off against rival Rockwall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Yellowjackets a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
