Volleyball Game Preview: Steele Comets vs. Strongsville Mustangs

The Steele Comets will face off against the Strongsville Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, Steele was able to grind out a solid win over Northview, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 23-25, 25-8, 25-15.

Medina came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Strongsville, but Anthony Pinzone wouldn't allow it. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Battling Bees on Thursday for which the team can thank Pinzone, who had 16 assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times he's played.

In the three sets Strongsville was on fire: they won each by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-13, 22-25, 25-12.

Strongsville's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-3. As for Steele, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
