Recap: Dodson Coyotes vs. Non Varsity Opponent
The Dodson Coyotes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. The contest between Dodson and Non Varsity Opponent wasn't particularly close, with Dodson falling 48-33. Dodson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Non Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Dodson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Precious Stiffarm, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazlyn KillEagle, who scored eight points.
Dodson's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Non Varsity Opponent, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 100-171.
Dodson won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Nashua at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Nashua comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against HEARTS for Jesus Christ at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
