Basketball Recap: Marsh Valley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marsh Valley can now relate to. They fell 58-50 to the South Fremont Cougars on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost six in a row.

South Fremont was led to victory by Brianne Bailey and Kenzly Neville. Bailey dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Neville posted 18 points along with seven assists and six boards. Bailey's afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Hayden Larson was another key player, putting up eight points.

Marsh Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for South Fremont, their victory bumped their record up to 21-5.

As of now, neither Marsh Valley nor South Fremont have any future games scheduled.
