Soccer Game Preview: Crawford County vs. Southwest Georgia STEM Charter

The Crawford County Eagles will head out to take on the Southwest Georgia STEM Charter Aggies at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Crawford County is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Chattahoochee County on Tuesday. Crawford County fell just short of Chattahoochee County by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Southwest Georgia STEM Charter was forced to settle for a draw. They and Byne Christian finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Southwest Georgia STEM Charter's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-1. As for Crawford County, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.

Crawford County came out on top in a nail-biter against Southwest Georgia STEM Charter in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crawford County since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
