Basketball Recap: Clarinda Piles Up the Points Against Clarke

Clarinda made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Clarke, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Clarinda Cardinals blew past the Clarke Indians 82-50 on Thursday. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered an 81-42 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Clarinda has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Clarke, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Clarinda will welcome Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Clarinda likes a good challenge. As for Clarke, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-43 defeat against Albia on the 24th.
