Football Recap: St. Petersburg Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

St. Petersburg owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They blew past the Boca Ciega Pirates 21-0. Fans of the Green Devils have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Ellie Swain was the offensive standout of the game as she rushed for 48 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 97 yards and two touchdowns.

St. Petersburg pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.1 points over those games. As for Boca Ciega, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
