Soccer Recap: Hampshire Comes Up Short

Hampshire fell victim to St. Charles East and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Fighting Saints, falling 9-0. Hampshire were not able to make up for their loss to St. Charles East from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Hampshire and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for St. Charles East, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Hampshire will host Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hampshire's defense better be ready for this one: Elgin have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season. As for St. Charles East, they will be playing at home against Glenbard North at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
