Soccer Recap: Sullivan County Comes Up Short

Sullivan County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Towanda Black Knights. Even if Sullivan County couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

They hit Towanda with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lily Mccarty (2), Sophia Livezey, and Quinn Pennella.

Sullivan County's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Towanda, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Coming up, Sullivan County will challenge Wyalusing Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Towanda does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
