Softball Recap: Highlands Christian Takes a Loss

Highlands Christian fell victim to Calvary Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles, falling 18-0. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Highlands Christian's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Highlands Christian will square off against Somerset Academy - Canyons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highlands Christian has given up an average of 16.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will face off against Boca Raton Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
