Football Recap: Grossmont Foothillers vs. Granite Hills Eagles
Grossmont won against Steele Canyon last Monday with 33 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Grossmont Foothillers came out on top against the Granite Hills Eagles by a score of 33-20. Given the Foothillers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Eagles are ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
A big part of Grossmont's win came down to the chemistry between Marissa Farace and her top target Gabi Thomas. Farace threw for 360 yards and five touchdowns while Thomas picked up 160 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Farace is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in the last three games she's played.

Grossmont pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Granite Hills, their record is now 6-8.
Grossmont has already played their next contest, a 25-19 win against Olympian on the 29th. As for Granite Hills, they have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Steele Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
