Basketball Recap: Southwood Knights vs. Eastbrook Panthers
Southwood was the 71-57 winner over Eastbrook when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Southwood Knights took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastbrook Panthers on Tuesday.
When it comes to explaining why Southwood lost, don't look at Bryce Wilcox. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points and eight boards. That was a full 41% of Southwood's points, marking the third time in a row Wilcox has had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Maddox Marshall, who earned eight points.
Eastbrook was led to victory by Jayden Younce and Bodie Howell. Younce put up 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, while Howell on his way to 15 points and five boards.
