Baseball Game Preview: Canal Winchester Indians vs. Lancaster Golden Gales

The Canal Winchester Indians will square off against the Lancaster Golden Gales at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Canal Winchester got the win against Logan by a conclusive 8-2. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Chieftains recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Lancaster had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Chieftains a 10-0 shutout. The Golden Gales might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Lancaster pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Canal Winchester, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.
